CRM, Crew Resource Management, wordt sinds de jaren '70 ruim ingezet in de luchtvaart om de veiligheid te vergroten. Het heeft reeds vele stadia doorlopen en is voortdurend in ontwikkeling. CRM omvat een groot aantal onderwerpen. Veel daarvan zijn uniform inzetbaar in andere disciplines.
